Carbon Canyon Nature Trail is 3 mile and heavily trafficked. It’s an easy trail – great for kids and family. Apparently there’s a lake which we missed on our hike. We did end up seeing a grove of redwoods which were beautiful. They provided a lot of shade and opportunities for pictures. I’ve never seen so many photographers and their clients taking pictures in a park.
We headed out of the redwood grove and ran into a field of sunflowers. Perfect timing, the golden hour. There was a soft yellow glow across the field making it difficult not to stop and snap some pictures.
Next time, we’ll head for the lake. Sadly, I believe they don’t allow our inflatable kayaks.
